An der Adresse Opernring 6 hielt sich Ludwig Wittgenstein im September 1947 auf, „c/o bei Frau v. Stockert“. In einem Brief an Rush Rhees schrieb er von hier aus: „[…] As you can imagine Vienna isn’t a nice sight at present. In spite of everything the people I meet are in astonishingly good spirits […]“.
