Palais Schönborn – “Wittgenstein Week”

In the 1920s, Margaret Stonborough, sister of Ludwig Wittgenstein, lived at Palais Schönborn-Batthyány in Vienna. During this time, she commissioned the construction of Palais Stonborough, now known as Wittgenstein House, in Vienna’s 3rd district, a project in which Ludwig Wittgenstein played a central role. Palais Schönborn was also the site of the first meeting between Ludwig Wittgenstein and Moritz Schlick of the Vienna Circle.

From 21-27 October 2025, the Wittgenstein Initiative hosted the "WITTGENSTEIN WEEK 2025" in the Beletage of Palais Schönborn, featuring lectures, discussions, and an exhibition.
