In 1946, a philosophical confrontation took place in Cambridge between Ludwig Wittgenstein and Karl Popper. The incident was later immortalised in the book Wittgenstein’s Poker by David Edmonds and John Eidinow (Ecco, 2001). Karl Popper died in 1994 and was laid to rest in an honorary grave at the Lainz Cemetery in Vienna.
