Between 1948 and 1949, Ludwig Wittgenstein spent an extended period at Ross’s Hotel on Parkgate Street in Dublin, not far from Phoenix Park. The building has since undergone substantial alterations and is now known as the Ashling Hotel. A commemorative plaque beside the entrance marks Wittgenstein’s stay.
